As the year comes to a close, it’s time for students at the University of Melbourne’s Victorian College of the Arts to showcase the art that their hard work and creativity have produced over the course of this year. That includes Master of Film and Television students, a bunch of who will be screening their 2023 short films this Thursday November 30th from 6:00 pm at Federation Hall.
With a diverse range of shorts, each offering a unique perspective and storytelling style, from thought-provoking dramas to terrifying horrors, the event promises to entertain and inspire. And, hey, if we go by the classical definition of ‘masterpiece’, that being per Google ‘a piece of work by a craftsman accepted as qualification for membership of a guild as an acknowledged master’, then technically, at the very least, the night should be full of masterpieces.
You can find the Facebook event for the free screening here. Plus, the full schedule, including names of the films and their directors, below.
